The United States court has found Google guilty of infringing part of Oracle copyrighted pattern. Oracle who owns JAVA has filed a lawsuit against Google for copyright violation during the development of Android operating system which was developed almost entirely of JAVA programming language. Oracle argued that Google needs to obtain license from Oracle in order to use it commercially. Google, however argued that it had been agreed upon by Oracle's key people that the development of Android does not require any licensing. Google also argued that Oracle has decided to file a lawsuit against them after they failed to develop their own version of Android.
The court has agreed that Google was aware that they need license from Oracle in order to use some features in JAVA. The incident has been one of the greatest controversy of software community. JAVA core architecture has a license filed under GNU which is freesource and cannot be copyrighted in anyway. Some features in JAVA do not have GNU licensing which have been copyrighted by Oracle when they acquire JAVA. Google is said to have violated fair use of some 37 JAVA API packages.
Sea Shadow may look like something out of James Bond movie doesn't it? Sorry to disappoints you but it was infact used in one of the James Bond movie. The ship was built by Lockheed to determine low radar profile and high stability hull. Although in the movie, the ship seems to be a high tech arsenal but in reality it doesn't really carry any weaponry.
The ship which is now with the US Department of Defence Advanced Research Project Agency plan to put the ship under hammer. A bit But however the ship will be scrap into pieces such that the importance technology and technique is not exposed. So basically what you are going to buy is a huge pile of scrap.

Well, it looks like Malaysia is way behind the race despites having considerably more advance internet technology than most developing nations. According to a research by Google Malaysia recorded a "whooping" 14.3 seconds of loading time for desktop. As a comparison to the fastest, the Slovak Republic has recorded 3.3 seconds. Malaysia, however is among the best of the worst in mobile content internet speed. Malaysia do better in mobile content download than its neighbour like Singapore but is well positioned among the top 10 slowest in speed.
Don't compare us with advanced nations ?
Ok, lets don't compare Malaysia with developed nations. How do we fair?
Just a Mishap? Just less than two weeks Proton launched its latest model of sedan the Proton Preve, viral photo of accident involving the new Proton Preve have been circulating around the web including here XD. The photo shows how the axle of the Proton Preve had been badly damage in the odd accident. This is definitely not a good news for Proton which anticipated warm reception by the public. Proton has promptly issued a statement regarding the incident and assures buyers that it is just one of those unfortunate mishap.
Well according to the report, Preve is said to have the highest safety performance among Proton's models and is equipped with high tech safety features such as ABS, traction control, roll bars, and extra air bags. As a comparison, Proton Waja was a 3 stars car in terms of UK safety standard. The Preve is reportedly has 4 stars which is remarkably better than other models of Proton. However this incident has caused some doubts in buyers on the integrity of the driving axle which are supposed to be robust. Hopefully there won't be any cover up if there in fact is a defect in the design.

Talking about flying cars, they are not really new. In fact back in 1930s many aeronautical engineers are experimenting what is known as roadable aircraft. It is an aircraft that can be legally used on the road. Among the first flying car to be built is perhaps the Skroback Roadable Aircraft built by Frank E Skroback. Flying car back then were not designed to specifically look like car, they were literally an aircraft on the road. As aircraft technology evolved, so was the design. Recent flying cars are more sophisticated and are equipped with complicated mechanism for their transformation from an aircraft to a road vehicle.
Well we probably would not be able to see flying car on the road for the next decade as the requirement to use one of these is to have a qualified flying license which is not really affordable for most people.
Few months ago, we took a drive around kl and we were stunt by the sudden flash emitted by the Menara Dato Onn buidling. It homes to one of the component of Malaysia's largest party, the UMNO of Barisan Nasional. It looks pretty stunning from far and could well become the iconic landmark on the face of Kuala Lumpur.
Well we asked people from various races and their opinions are mixed. Some would say it is time for the building to become a popular landmark in Malaysia. Some say it is a waste of people's money and condemned it. Some say it is a remarkable engineering feat. Some don't know where or what we talk about.
Computer technology has been evolving as long as we could remember. Real computing power were not made available to the public until the 1980s. While computers are getting more and more complicated so does the software that keeps everything running. Decades ago anyone with the knowledge of programming would either impress the world with awesomeness or do some serious damage. Those who use programming for a good reason would end up as engineer or entrepreneur in the field. Those who don't would join the dark force that endlessly find a way around the defects in the programming and take advantage of the loopholes.
Not really, James Cameron who is also known for his deepsea exploration hobby has recently been to Mariana Trench on his Deepsea Challenger submarine. He became the first person to explore Mariana Trench on a single man craft. It takes him 2 hours to reach the seabed. Mariana Trench's Challenger Deep is the deepest point of the ocean seabed which is about 10 KM below surface 12 times the high of the highest building on Earth, the Burj Khalifa.
(Challenger Deep may be the deepest part of the ocean but it is not the closest point to the center of the Earth due to the shape of the Earth is not perfectly round)
